Protofaces

App Logo: Birmingham Version

I have designed various protofaces to present mock- up designs of what the app will look like and how it will marketed.

The colours pink are used throughout my various designs to create a sense of brand identity. It also targets the specific demographic due to the iconography of the colours and the city is listed above the app name. Although my logo is simple, it is effective as it instantly attracts the targeted audience and sets up a narrative.

Here is an example of how social media sites will promote our app. As when students enrol at university in Birmingham, or are accepted they will instantly be notified to download the app.

Social media is also a cheaper alternative to advertise the app through promotional videos, images and reviews. The page can also be shared amongst many and will target those interested in Birmingham due to it's location settings.

Here is an example of the app logo on a poster. On this poster I haven't included the Birmingham sub-title or a motto because the simple layout is more engaging.

I intend to have posters like these around Birmingham universities and around the city centre itself.

Marketing my app is important because it is going to be the way we gain customers. Through creating a brand identity across various platforms the app logo will become recognisable and cause people to look into it. By placing posters in the correct places within the city centre, it will ensure a mass audience will see it. As well as the Facebook page which can be shared by the clothing brands or events pages to target female students who haven't started university yet.
