WEEK 1

ENTERPRISE IDEA

The introduction to the Enterprise module has taught me that taking a risk is vital and can allow me to broaden my ideas. I am intending to focus my business on a niche audience, so that my content is original and direct. I will need to plan how to distribute my final piece and market my work as these skills will be vital. The skills I plan to work on throughout this module is organisation and communication. I plan to create something with an identified need so the audience can rely on it in their everyday lives.

My current ideas are:

- An app for first year students starting at a university in Birmingham with information throughout the city on what to do. By doing so I hope to form a sense of community, as I know how intimidating moving to university can be.

- An app to help young people interested in fashion re-create celebrity looks. I could work alongside youtubers/promoters/ brands to help achieve this

- Global fashion - Similar to an online magazine of different styles around the world

-Freelance Journalist Website - As I am interested in specialising in journalism I could promote myself and upload previous work. This could help create a portfolio for the future and gain experience in working for myself.

These ideas are all brief and I intend to discover which one will have a higher chance in becoming successful to attract a niche audience.
